Handmade and Hand Engraved in our Herefordshire workshop.

This beautiful sterling silver Celtic bookmark has been designed and created by us with a lovely Celtic knot entirely hand engraved on the front with the beautiful weaving of the knot and a textured background around the knot to make the whole design stand out.

The design is deeply cut out of the silver by hand with small hand held chisel tools to give a beautiful 3 dimensional effect to the design.

We can personalise the back with a hand engraved name, date or message of your choice in 4 different font styles. All of the lettering is also deeply hand engraved to ensure that your message will be lovely and clear and last a lifetime.

Choose from a range of colours for the tassel.

Beautiful bookmark

This silver bookmark was the perfect gift for my mother! It's beautifully crafted, with a lovely weight and elegant design. She was absolutely delighted with it.

Much smaller and thinner than I thought. Hall mark almost impossible to read even with a magnifying glass. Engraving looks nice, good to know it was old fashioned craftsmanship not just electrical engraving. Bit disappointed overall though.

We're sorry to hear the bookmark felt smaller or thinner than expected. We use a solid sterling silver sheet that’s actually thicker than many on the market, as it needs to be strong and thick enough to be hand engraved by Peter, cutting out the silver using traditional tools. The size is our standard bookmark and has been very popular over the years, with many lovely reviews from happy customers with all of the different hand engraved designs we create.

The hallmark is stamped by the Birmingham Assay Office and is slightly larger than the standard hallmark and compliments the size of the bookmark – it is struck into the silver, and going any larger on a stamped hallmark would mean that the silver would be deformed due to the pressure stricking the silver.

We’re really glad to hear you appreciated the hand engraving – every cut is done by eye and hand, with time, skill and care.
