This luxury sterling silver 6" x 4" photo frame is handmade with thick sterling silver. Handmade with thick sterling silver, velvet back. (The sterling silver we use is a lot heavier gauge than other retailers). Glass front. Velvet back with a hinged stand. This frame is solid sterling silver not pressed silver, this gives the advantage of a heavier frame which we need with Hand Engraving as we cut the silver out, pressed silver collapses if you try to Hand Engrave it as it is too thin. Hallmarked with the Birmingham assay office hallmark. We can personalise the frame with a name, date or message on the front in 4 different styles of lettering. We traditionally hand engrave all of our items of jewellery. This is created by Peter deeply cutting out the silver by hand with small hand held gravers (chisel like tools) giving you a beautiful three-dimensional effect engraving that will never fade and will last forever.

Traditional Hand Engraving
Hand Engraving is a dying art, it is a traditional way of engraving and has been done this way for many years. Nowadays there are less skilled hand engravers around and machines are now being used which do not give the quality and durability that Hand Engraving gives, every process of hand engraving is done by hand and it is all down to the skill of the engraver Peter, it gives the article a very artistic look.
