Hand Engraving a Family Coat of Arms onto Silver Salver
Posted by MANDY MILLS
Peter had the pleasure of hand engraving this 8.5" sterling silver salver with a Coat of Arms for a member of the House of Lords.
This Coat of Arms was hand engraved approximately 4.5" wide onto the front of the silver salver.
Working from an image, Peter deeply cut out the outline by hand and then spent many hours adding all of the fine shading and detail which makes the whole thing come to life.
Peter has a vast knowledge and experience in hand engraving and also studied Heraldry. Over the years he has engraved many items ranging from gold and silver cufflinks to salvers, cutlery, jugs, candlesticks, fine silverware and many more with customers crests and coat of arms.
